I have a new episode of AI & Me out today. This was a super fun one to record. I’ve known my friend Mark Huizar since high school. He did cross country and track with my older sister Cristina. The cross country team had an annual summer training week in Big Bear, and I tagged along for three straight years. :-)
Somehow, fifteen years later, Mark is still running, and in fact earlier this year he qualified in the marathon for the 2028 Olympic Trials with a time of 2:14. Insane, I know.
In this episode, we talk about how AI is impacting his respective field of digital marketing and paid media or advertising in particular. At this point in time, what is AI getting right in his work and where is it still off base and needs a human in the loop?
Of course we talk about how Mark is using AI to augment his performance and training regimen as a competitive track athlete. AI as coaching assistant, dietary counselor, physical therapist, and more.
We even wade into a discussion of how AI is already impacting the job market, what this will mean for people looking for jobs coming out of college, and how universal basic income (UBI) may be something that actually gets turned into a reality if jobs become “optional” down the line.
Give it a listen, and let me know what you think.
